New addition to the stable.
I made the decision to take advantage of the $600. price on the HiFiMan Arya Stealth, here pictured with the Meze 109 Pro. I think 2025 is going to be a really uneventful year so far as new purchases. I've also upgraded my Fiio BTR7 to the newly released BTR17 and I purchased the Earmen stack which consists of Amplifier, Linear PS, DAC & Streamer.

So, you can think of LX as "fixed at maximum output level", whereas the stock DACport gives you a real, analog volume control, so you can adjust the listening level on the unit itself. We believe that it's much easier to adjust a volume knob on the unit, rather than hunt through windows on your laptop's screen to look for the volume knob. This is why I recommend you get the regular DACport, and not the LX.
You can consider the LX as a model for tweakers, whereas regular DACport is an all around awesome, self-contained DAC product with an amp and a real volume knob.
