RuffisOakChopard is an important luxury brand. Pens, jewelry, and also watches. I suspect that they want to market this to the watch collectors familiar with the brand and get more sales.

This beyond-chronometer-spec movement was important because of the way it employed two double spring barrels to give an extremely long and evenly delivered power reserve. It was also produced at the time when there was consensus by some innovative makers in Geneva to push a higher standard in both finish quality and the accuracy of movements. (And it is a memento that helps me remember and honor my wife.)

AxeguyI love watches. Especially beautiful mechanical/automatic ones that have sentimental value. Thanks for sharing. I have an old Hamilton mechanical pocket watch that my grandfather gave me. It's nothing special but to me it's all my memories growing up.
Gunnersmate2Nice. These are powerful things that bring our good memories to the fore. That Hamilton pocket watch is also a nice reminder that—for a time—the American clock / watch industry was the most innovative and important in the world...! Enjoy the memories!
