Just got an E-mail from Massdrop. They acknowledged the situation, and it appears that it was the vendor removing the serial numbers. They're giving full refunds, as well as a $40 credit. The full text of the E-mail is included below for reference:
"'It has been brought to our attention that the vendor in this drop has altered the product box for this drop before shipping. Altering product boxes is against our vendor guidelines and we do not consider this acceptable. We're sorry that we were not aware of this before sending them out, and for any confusion or issues this has caused.
If you would like to request a return for refund due to this situation, please reply to this email and someone will provide you with a prepaid return label.
In addition, we have issued $40 to your Massdrop account. This will be automatically applied to your next purchase, at which point you’ll be able to see it on the checkout page. It’s good for one-time use, which means you won’t see a remaining balance, and expires one year from today."
How do you know about the serials? I have received the same email but it doesn't mention about the serials...
That's an assumption on my part, when they say the vendor has made modifications to the box. There aren't any other modifications, as far as I can tell.
How about that obvious cut-out of the hollogram or whatever it was.. Something was removed from my box for sure... Look at your picture, it's there as well.
that is a bad thing.... and how about the Mojo? is refubrished?
