The original SRK and RECON were EDIT- they were carbon V Steel.
They took a razors edge easily and they could rust if not cleaned. The real downside was the rubber handle. With real use the guard first became damaged and then tore away on my SRK.
That is when I got rid of the Recon.
Overall nice design but it is not worth the asking price.
