I just received a phone call from the area post office (on a private number again). They told me pretty much everything I already knew. The package left CA on April 9 and was still in transit. They didn't have it on their shelves. They don't know where it's at. They also asked if I have insurance on the package because since I haven't received the package yet, I should ask for a refund or a replacement. I politely told the lady that I would not be holding the sender liable for a screwup by the post office, especially since mine wasn't the only package that has yet to arrive. I also told her that the simple fact that multiple people not getting their packages after the packages ended up in USPS custody speaks of an endemic problem at the post office, a problem that is not the responsibility of the seller or the recipients. I ended by telling her that calling someone for official USPS business purposes on a private line is highly unethical, as the recipient of the call has no real knowledge if the person they are talking to is actually part of the USPS.
I am not a nice man whenever I get pissed.

TheMadProfessorMine hasn't arrived, but has been marked at delayed and in transit since the 16th, and I live two states away from California, its last stop (of which is was detained for like a week). I'm getting worried..
