Review of Keycaps:
So far, I'm quite happy with these keys! The crisp white lettering shows up really well on both my blue and black keycaps, and the overall feel is very nice. I did notice some things about them that aren't bad, just different, or at least unexpected:
1. The "tilt" of the keytops is a little bit greater in some places than the keycaps that came with both of my keyboards (Das and Quickfire TK)
2. The texture of the plastic is very close to the default keycaps, though it has a slightly "rougher", more pitted, appearance
3. The Windows logo on the Windows/"Super" key looks a little bit derpy: http://i.imgur.com/A263ujL.jpg?0
4. On the bottom edges there where some stress marks in the plastic, I suspect from the shipping or manufacturing process. However, they where only noticeable when installing the caps; once on the keyboard, you can't see any imperfections.
None of the above details detract from the caps or negatively influence my desire to buy more, but those things might matter to somebody.
Shipping:
So I initially got two sets, a black set and a blue set. Because I made a separate order for each, I had some oddness with shipping. Timeline:
1. Order #1 and #2 are shipped on the 24th of June
2. Order #1 arrives by the 27th of June
3. Order #2 goes to Puerto Rico for a few days
4. Order #2 arrives on the 30th of June
That was weird, but the length of time from order to shipping was so long (May 31st to June 24th, nearly 4 weeks) that it ultimately wasn't a big deal.
Final Verdict:
I'd totally buy more of these, and in fact, I just ordered two more sets (the green and the white/red). The shipping time is a little bit of a bummer, but the caps are great!
