Could y'all post pics of the PCB? I have the original Alt and the PCB had the same issue for all three replacement I received. I'm hesitant to upgrade to this unless I can verify the PCB design is better.

LukasMThank you. The photos do make it really difficult to evaluate the traces, but from the photos where I could see them, it appears that they look a little thicker and routed with more intention.
This might have been answered already as well, but is there backwards compatibility with the V2? Could I take a V2 PCB and put it on my original Alt?

DruepyYes, all V1 and V2 components are interchangeable. You can upgrade a V1 to V2 by purchasing a PCB and foam kit.

the ctrl v1 requires the use of short usb cables (6ft or shorter), can you use longer cables with the alt v2?

Is this keyboard incompatible with your Mecha -01 YC8 coiled usb A to B cables? I'm not able to get it working, even with the LED's turned completely off, while the included cable works fine.
