The leaf/vine visual ornamentation on a green case shouldn't cost $10 more than the solid-color CSTM80 cases.
At this price, I recommend it only if it goes with your desk/room decor and/or certain keycaps.
It's a CSTM80 topcase, same as the otheres, but this one has green.
A CSTM80 topcase. If you own a CSTM board, you are already aware of these. So moving on...
The green on green is a nice combination, with little off-white dots scattered around. I feel it has a nice natural-fantasy vibe, or perhaps the trim of some posh 1920's furniture. I think it pairs well with recent LotR Rohan sets,
While I wish it would have shipped when I purchased the barebones rather than a couple of months later the wait was worth it. The Overgrowth top case for the CSTM80 is very beautiful and unique. I paired it with some garden themed keycaps for my wife and it turned out better than imagined! While we got the CSTM80 to mix it up a little so far this is a keeper. As her office is at the front of the house a number of people have noticed her keyboard and are all completely in love with the look and how well it matches the rest of the office. No issues with fit and it stays on well even when moved.
Right now it is matched with the DCX Emerald. I look forward to trying it out with the Jasmine or GMK Botanical. It is a classy dark green and the artwork makes it really pop.
Love the deisgn and the strength of the magnets is just right but..
2 small qualms I need to point out
1. It's a tad flimsy, which I could shrug off is this was a bit cheaper, but for 35 $ or 50$ CA I was kinda expecting something a little more robust
2. It doesn't feel very snug on the keyboard, yes it's firmly secured to it, but putting pressure on any side you can feel it bend in, and then also it feels as if the top case tests on the top plate at some point, giving the topcase a bit of sponginess when pressing down on it as well
Both not really big things to be bothered about in themselves but I figured I'd put these out there for anyone who's a stickler for the minute details
All in all tho it's fine and not something I'm unsatisfied with, moreso just like an "oh ok"
But the quality of the design more than makes up for these :)
