MHarrisMost Ferrum Forge knives now at Amazon are being sold at least at a $50 premium over what they were usually sold for on Drop.
You can go directly to the Ferrum Forge website and buy directly from the manufacturers at far less prices than Amazon, or you can go to https://www.bladehq.com/cat--Ferrum-Forge--1769 BladeHQ "BLADEHQ" and buy the same knives for even less than the manufacturer sells them for in their store. Warning, BladeHQ has been selling them almost faster than they can get them in, so at some times their stock is also low, so keep checking back or you can make a special request and they will see their ETA, which can usually be expedited for you.
I cannot believe I am saying this, but DROP moving their complete knife products to Amazon was a great mistake for their customers. I only hope DROP gets rich off their keyboards.
mike.friedkinMike, you are correct that most knives are more expensive on Amazon. However, not all knives are more expensive (Mordax, Thresher, Orca, Cyrus, Raine, Gent Select) and most knives have just a $10 premium with the highest at $20. The small Amazon premiums only cover a small fraction of the increased tariffs, commodity prices, and Amazon fees. In fact, the $10 premiums in most cases do not even cover the increased tariffs. Pricing increases are never popular but in this case were necessary to ensure we could continue to support the Outdoors category.
Here is a closer look at some of the the pricing premiums compared to Drops retail price:
Drop + Bradford Guardian = $10 premium
Drop + Eric Ochs Orca = $10 Premium on G-10, $10 cheap for CF/Mokuti
Drop + Eric Ochs Otter = $10 Premium
Drop + Gavko Nurse = $10 Premium
Massdrop x Gavko Thresher = Equal
Drop + Brad Zinker Dogtooth = $10 Premium
Drop + Terzuola Cyrus Persian = $10 cheaper
Drop + Kirby Raine = $10 cheaper
Drop + Ferrum Forge Dao = $15-20 Premium
Drop + Ferrum Forge Crux = $15-20 Premium
Drop + Ferrum Forge Mordax = Equal
Drop + Ferrum Forge Gent Select = Equal
Drop + Degnan Emrose = $10 Premium
