Nice knife
This knife really has almost everything to be a perfect EDC (per my standards). It has the perfect size, a great gentleman folder style (took the rosewood version), an incredibly smooth action, and the fit and finish We is known for. It also came super sharp out of the box. I'll update this review if my opinion changes as I use it, but so far the 1st impressions are really good! Update: while I praised the fit and finish in my 1st impressions, after inspecting it a bit more closely I noticed the scales and the liners aren't properly aligned everywhere, and you can definitely feel it when rubbing your finger on it. It's not a huge deal and doesn't impact the knife ergos, but that's quite surprising from We and a bit disappointing for a knife over $200. I also noticed a tiny crack in the wood which I'm afraid could extend (and maybe break) as time passes, I might try to get it replaced if it restocks before the warranty expires (talked with the support and they said it would be possible). Update 2: I contacted We Knife and Drop about the cracked scale, and while We would be ok to send replacement scales to Drop, Drop says "we don't dispatch parts to customers", which to me reads as "we don't care if the maker can help, we won't help you anyway, don't expect us to do any effort to stand behind our products". I'm not surprised though.

mdeousMy wood scales have some similar liner mismatches, which I would be shocked to see on a carbon fiber version. I thought about scaring up a CF one to do a scale swap with or ordering custom scales from someone, but I think I'm going to leave it alone and credit the slight imperfections to the natural material.

OmniseedYup I'm not utterly disturbed by those small misalignments, I was just a bit surprised/disappointed when I saw it, but maybe I had too high expectations and didn't account for the fact that wood "lives" and sometimes slightly shrinks or expands, which could be the reason of this. Overall it's still an amazing knife and one of my favorite ones. I've contacted We about my cracked scale to see if they might have replacement ones (I've learned that even when Drop says they can't get spare parts from the manufacturer, it's still sometimes possible by contacting them directly, I did the experience for my Drop+Rike Hummingbird), I haven't had an answer yet, but maybe they could send/sell you CF scales? Can be worth a try. If you find anyone who makes custom scales let me know (if this thread disappears as a result of the EDC community shutdown, I can be found with the same handle on reddit), I'm sure some fat carbon scales could be really gorgeous with those bronze liners, and I would definitely order some!

mdeousOh yeah, if I get customs they're going to be something truly stable and more interesting looking than regular twill CF (sorry twill, you're beautiful too but I'm stocked up), maybe some bronze dusted stuff or something. I don't think the rosewood scales are stabilized either, seems like that would have been mentioned somewhere and it's not necessary for every wood anyway, but maybe that would have helped them maintain their normal precise fit. wait EDC is getting shut down? Can I read up on that anywhere?

https://cuscadi.de/ Right there in Europa, even. Family operation. They source a lot of material from France in fact - https://www.mercorne.fr/fr/ I've bought several custom scales from Lucas, the propertier. Never had a problem. It can take a couple months if he's really jammed with work but I've always been happy with what I get. He does beautiful work with Fat Carbon. I don't know that he has a Drop Miura in his reference library, though. You might need to talk him into working with your knife -- the way his site reads, it's doable but some level of pain in the arse for all parties involved. I've also ordered once from Suingab up in Lithuania. at https://g10.lt/. He costs a little more and takes a little longer but especially if you want some kind of custom symbol or text milled into the scale and then filled in with colored or GITD resin, he's the guy to see. I'd be astonished if he makes Miura scales though. He sticks to a fairly limited range of makes and models like Spyderco.

OmniseedI just asked someone in Reddit yesterday if the wooden scales are stabilized and he said he didn't think so. I mean, that woulda cost money :)
