m_AssdropI actually like the Cyclops and clasp , its the way the way the clasp joins the bracelet in the 6 O'Clock end with a pin ( solid , like a nail ) holding the clasp to the bracelet , it's going to make it a challenge to fit a ' Strapcode ' milled clasp later on ,, I will get it but it wont be to easy .
beanerds2Hey Buddy, Drop has dropped watches !!!
The only sites left worth visiting regularly are 'Starbuy" Australia, "Timeshop24"Germany, particularly if you like Ingersoll and some of the lesser known German and Swiss brands, and "Jomashop" U.S. I just dropped $1600 on JS, Mido and Gevril (if you like a jubilee bracelet and want a Swiss watch that is a Rolex by any other name then Gevril is it, produced in same town as Jaeger -LeCoultre).
Another $650 on two Citizens from Starbuy, who can resist 70% discounts, and another Ingersoll $240 from Timeshop24, a limited edition Ingersoll, with sapphire back and front, just to go with that Ingersoll Michigan Limited Edition I just bought direct from Ingersoll at only 50% discount.
Plus two others from a site I haven't mentioned but not the best discounts their everyday prices are not bad, "Geckota",U.K. a G-01 42mm diver and 44mm K-01 pilot auto both running NH35 seiko and with sapphire and 200m wr. Plus couldn't resist Swiss Alpine Military by Grovana GMT quartz at $175 aud. on "Timeshop24". Yes about ten watches in all, but I did move on a few I was bored with!!
So their are other sites. I know it sounds like a lot of watches but it's my 60th, soon, so it will be a watch day!!! Still another couple of grand to spend!!! Drop have dropped a lot of profit if you multiply you and I by the 2 million community members they had!!!!
Thinking about an Oris Artix Gt chrono auto on JS at about $1600 aud. but just not sure if I want a higher end watch with 44mm diameter, I only have a 7.5 inch wrist. Porbably sleep onit and miss it like the last well price Mido I had my eye on at JS!!! Anyway stay in touch, we are now getting the rain you had a week or so ago. Regards.
JAoneI will have to have a look ,, someone's gotta scratch my itch ! , but it is sad about Drop , after all these years of loyal buying they have kicked us in the nuts ! , I will definatly check these others out , are you a member there ? , if so send me your user name and I will check out for you ,,
Thanks mate .
beanerds2Don't think they run any referral or membership programs!! Just hope you find some deals that suit you.. At least you get a much larger choice and immediate shipping. God luck. Can't find any good Vostok dealers yet, "touch of modern " had a great price on a cool Vostok, so I tried only to find they send to U.S. and Canada only. A lot of sites do because it is to do with their manufacturers pricing agreements. I am very happy and impressed with the value for money and different designs out of Geckota these days .give them a try they have a C-01 model available at present!!! At only $267 delivered, great spec.
beanerds2I have just got the G 01 42mm automatic vintage style diver with red dial; I was after it for two years and it never goes on sale ,so when I got 10% off plus; and remember this when you order, put in Geckota or Geckota10 in coupon section for an extra 10% off , bringing that C -03 down to $240 'ish aud.!! The G 01 cost me $364, aud. but at least that's better than $459 aud, or $600 aud. at "Chronoclass.com" (I have read reports that they are a bit dodgy!) will charge when the 100 units of each colour and style are sold out. I just didn't want to miss a watch I have been watching for over a year and miss it because there is only 300 made, 100 for each of the ostrich strap, deployment strap, and rubber strap. If anything these Geckota's are the real M'coy of limited editions!!! Like most brands I don't like the whole range but they do seem to have a better range of styles that I like more than most. Funny though they started out as "higher end" leather strap suppliers!! Each of the four I have bought I have swapped out for better and cheaper straps from elsewhere, mainly the Sydney Strap co.!!! Good luck.
JAoneBUGGER DROP ! they just cancelled my order on the ' Coffee SUB " ,, pissed right OFF !after waiting months now this ,, they have shot themselves in the foot on their stupid decision to stop watches ,, IDIOTS !!!! have lost 1000's of customers !
beanerds2Check GMT's on Timeshop24 or Jomashop, the watch you ordered from drop is marketed somewhere I have seeen recently and it wasn't Drop; if I remember I will let you know. Even the Vostok I have coming from Drop has no warranty ,only the 30 day return policy. Someone in their head office has been snorting the wrong stuff!!!!!!!!!!
JAoneHey buddy , repost as DROP seem to have gone full blown False book on your reply and deleted it !!!! , I got the thumbs up x2 but your reply is/has been deleted ??
beanerds2The whole watch community has been taken down/removed, there is only these threads that remain where you can contact each other, I think they have to remain active until all orders /money have been refunded or finalized but I am not a "techy" guy ,so who knows. I read that a few guys have gone to "Watchyouseek", website, but it is very large ,hard to keep to the same conversation. I don't think there were many sales outlets that run a customer forum, I think that maybe some of the negativity/complaints that at times were copious may have led to it's downfall. Anyway try the Certina GMT diver on JS for the same money as you were paying a better finished watch. I have had deliveries from both JS and Timeshop24 and they are fine, at least within 9 days ,not two months!!!! I don't think drop will run any watch sales as they had indicated, which may cost them ,but one of their guys at the top is probably one of these "nerdy" Apple watch owners only. Probably shouldn't say that as many friends also have them ,but purely for business. I have stayed on their subscribers list as you never know what might come. Anyway bye for now.
JAoneIve been a member of watchcuseek for a few years now , its a good site .,
And yes I will check out JS , I have also opened an account with Starbuys AU ,, these fools here at DROP have really done themselves ZERO !!! favours pulling this stunt ! Bugger em !
beanerds2i had one of these knife fans , comment to me that I was ranting and raving about nothing, so I basically said drop were stupid to drop the watch site if favour of "knife welding" maniacs!!! Apologies for bad typing ,rushed because of nerve damage down my arms!! Regards.
beanerds2Always been a problem, I vividly remember speaking to kids holding onto their stomachs not even realising they had been stabbed three of four times. One night at one party because of one of these nuts who said he had to carry for protection we spent 6 hours interviewing 14 teenagers ,all victim to this one nutcase. If we keep selling them we will still keep upping the numbers. That's why I don't think we can easily order knives from Drop for Australia, we have tougher controls; and of course rugby league!! Anyway just missed a Double twelve airman with original 2824m movement for $550 aud. just umming and ahhing too much!!!!
beanerds2Hey, if you still seeing this, that Limited Edition Seiko Prospex Solar Diver I bought with Root_beer bezel etc. is only $399 at Starbuy right now; I am almost tempted to buy another because it is so cheap and looks a treat, at $399 a sensational deal!! Hope you are doing well.
JAoneThats a great buy , I have basically given up on Drop since they shot themselves in the foot over watches , Anyway yes Starbuy are awesome , I have grabbed the no date Bulova Luna Pilot and its an impressive watch !@! , also have t

Also have grabbed a full manual wind Seagull 1963 , a beautiful well made little watch 38mm with domed sapphire and impressive movement .
beanerds2Good to hear you are alive and kicking. Still have $25 usd. rewards remaining on Drop so haven't binned them yet. Love the lunar watch ,I have been reducing diameters recently so not sure about the size ,but I did look closely last week. I have the Titanium Citizen diver- awesome for the dollar, it gets a fair bit of wrist time, between that and this LE Seiko which is very much more dressy, but the Citizen is a great day wear. Check out Jomashop as that's where I spent $3,000 usd. or so last few months, still some of the watches I bought at good prices and delivery in about 2-3 weeks, check out Mido Commader II chrono, black, and Multifort chrono black, I got the teal blue Gevril Submariner homage the Wall Street, absolutely awesome at $499 usd. and an Alpina Heritage diver compressor in bronze PVD at $499 usd. so yes Drop have missed out a lot. I even bought 2 Bronze Ingersolls one Radiolite Scovill Bronze auto and the auto the MIchigan in bronze and gunmetal, when it was 50% on Valentines day from Ingersoll direct - looks great but I must admit would suit a 30 year old hipsterbetter, than I so I am selling it soon: and two Chrono VK64 Spinnakers just to support the microbrands. One the new all black California chrono on black jubilee bracelet. No pics as just had one of two Carpal tunnel ops!!!!! Take care, love the vintage look of the Seagull, that double dome look is great, I have it on my Panzera Breuer 43---think it is the main reason I still have it, the domed crystal just looks great.
JAoneJust a heads up ,never a bad time to save a couple of bucks........the code "FBK25" gets you 25% off at Stuhrling.com direct from the company, the watch I bought worked out at about $95 aud. cheaper than Jomashop, their father's day sale is even better if you like any of the watches available. Your Seagull inspired me to buy the VK83 "Chronopulse 895" from these guys, 25% off the already reduced over-inflated price seemed reasonable. Have you got your Citizen yet? I thought it would wear big ,but it is really comfortable and light. Looking at a "Vost" (German made) automatic all titanium on Timeshop24 for around $300 aud. I think it is a Miyota auto, somtimes they use Rondo , but at $300 it's not important, still considering it's size ,but it is lightweight titanium.
beanerds2Hey Beanerds2, JAone here. I have had some medical issues confirmed two days ago. Without getting too personal; it means I have to sell a lot of possessions and put some affairs in order. But , it does mean I am able to sell some interesting watches ,at "Drop" or below prices. Before I go to marketplace, I thought of you, as some of my watches, most only worn 4 times or even less, and as new in full packaging and tags. Might be up your street based on some of your collection I have seen so far. If interested please reply and we can work out a way to contact each other. I am not willing to look at international selling as the shipping costs are astronomical. Hope you are well. Best Regards.
JAoneSorry to hear brother , send me a list of what you are selling and the prices so I can look them up and think about it .
Yes the Citizen arrived and mate ! its sweet , my 2nd Titanium watch .
beanerds2Hey Beanerds2, current list with probably another 5 or so at this stage.
1/ Ingersoll Limited Edition Bronze/GunSeiko Alpinist Prospex white/silver ghost face model 2020, on vintage style quality dark brown "Panerai" style strap with fitted Seiko deployment, and orginal black calf Seiko strap, metal automatic Michigan: best price I could find around the net was about $800 aud. so to you $350 plus post.
2/ Raymond Weil Freelancer chrono auto ,ST 7731 etc. it is the model with the steel tachy bezel, not the coloured one!! that I bought from Drop 2019, at $1150 aud, best price around the net was about $1500 for a rather used model, to you $900 plus post. Original calf-strap and RW deployment, but currently fitted with "SK700" generic no markings solid end style bracelet - best fit and quality I could find.( took me an hour to fix with minor adjustments but fits better than a RW original!!)
3/ Panzera Breuer 43 chrono auto Valjoux 7750, 3 extra new straps (perforated racing style, mesh, and real snakeskin from Geckota, all never worn), sale price from Panzera is about $1699 aud on one strap: to you $800 aud. plus post.
4/ Seiko Alpinist Prospex 2020 automatic, white/silver ghost face dial on "Panerai" style vintage d/brown leather strap with original Seiko deployment, plus original black calf Seiko strap, and a Geckota tan alligator print vintage style strap (never worn): best price from Starbuy $749 aud to you complete $450 aud.
There are a couple of others I will provide details when you want, but these 4 were almost my pride and joy as a collector even the cheaper and volume products, especially the Seiko which I only wore 6 times all up, as for me I do prefer a 42 mm., especially now with some of my health/medical issues preventing me from returning to under the 90 kg. mark if I even can get to 95kgs.!!!
All watches are as new ,even the Raymond Weil which again was worn 6 times; and I had this want to have sets of alternate straps etc. so they all but the Michigan which is only 6 weeks old(new) worn once, when I couldn't quite figure out how to replace the strap, when I received it my wrists were in no condition to risk removal for fear of damaging the watch case.
Hope you are well ,if any interest I will try to provide the best pics I can, but a search on the net should provide some assistance.
If you want an email or can furnish a safe one for me to contact you by ,please do. Regards.

JAoneCitizen have really upped their game . I am in love with the Titanium GMT Diver I got from StarBuy ,,, enjoy the photos .

Lume is awesome !

On your watches , I will take the Ingersoll Limited edition Bronze , send me an email to this address and we will discuss further on another ( my main E/Mail ) ,,, beanerds@gmail.com.
beanerds2Love the lume, it was a hard decision but even though I thought the contrast for the GMT was great, I settled for the all black with titanium bracelet, and it is so light weight.
Thought you might like the Ingersoll, it is really quite unique with the colour scheme but in a funky classy way. I will send an email tomorrow also with my best attempt at pics. Regards.
beanerds2Very ,very nice; always wanted one: maybe not now. Anyway between you and I, we could almost open a watch shop. I still have another 9 autos ( 6 swiss), and 7 quartz, solar and eco drive's to sell-on also, as well as these first 4!! My target is to get to 3 watches, one that LE Seiko Solar diver root-beer from Starbuy, which I bought to honour my late father who died of covid19 in November; a Seiko automatic was the first automatic watch he gave me when I was 15. So I am not letting all watches go, as the 3 I keep will go to my son. I am glad at least the Ingersoll may go to a good home. Email tomorrow. Regards.
beanerds2Hey, Beanerds, I have sent pics by two methods to your email. Hopefully some get through!!! If mot let me know and I will get the brains of the family --my wife to help.
She spends all her working time on computers .Regards.
JAone.
JAoneThanks , I got the photos , a few more of the Ingersoll as I could swing that now , but having just dropped 6k on the Paneri ,, I will be in the dog house the Raymond Weil is a bit of a push at the moment ,, if you could hold it for say 4 weeks ?? I would be able to grab it then ,,
beanerds2Yes, there is no hurry, I hope !!!
The condition I have added to my other two "unseen" medical potential life threatening issues , is yet another invisible killer except this time I feel like a "Spartan", as there are only about 300 people in the country with it. It is extremely rare, I suppose like the LE Ingersoll, 93 of 300!!! Little but of "Karma" there!! I do like a little bit of uniqueness.
I believe the Raymond Weil with original calf strap and fitted sports bracelet was $900, and the Ingersoll $350 plus post; because there may be different post options.
The pick of this bunch though really is the fully Swiss made Panzera Breuer 43, $800, with the valjoux standard 7750 in it and the four strap option; maybe one of your friends maybe interested!! The movement in the RW is also a valjoux 7750 with in house adjustments! Not sure what but the standard has a power reserve of 42 hours and the RW in house movement 46 hours. The Ingersoll I believe is a 29 jewel seagull Ty movement with about 36 hours reserve, but in that respect the Seiko Alpinist blows them all away with a claimed 70 hours from it's 6R36 movement!! And that is a steal at $450 with the great straps I attached.
I must admit taking more photos of these watches makes me a little "melancholy" as although I never really got to wear them ,except a few occasions here and there I can remember the reason I bought them: but such is life ,I would like them to go to someone who appreciates them. I have sent emails, did they get through JAone
