Why is it free shipping and returns in the USA when this product is made in Switzerland? I live in Europe were this watch is manufactured and I have import tax and postage extra to pay, why??

Dhanna2011My guess would be because DROP is an American owned and operated company with a distribution center in the US and all inventory will be managed from that warehouse. They will not be drop shipped from Switzerland to each customer.

Dhanna2011Because you live in a country that taxes the shit out of you, that's why. These are made for the US market, the most robust market on Earth, largely because we do NOT tax our citizens into submission. So to send this product which was made tax free for the US market back into your country, your customs will require the requisite taxes to be paid. Pretty basic, not sure how you could live there your whole life and not understand that. Vote for change if you don't like it! Your economy in Europe will never be as vibrant as it could be when you have stifling taxes that discourage business at every turn.

Dhanna2011And you should ask that question of the politicians you put in charge, it certainly isn't Drop's fault

Glen8I know how our tax system works Glen8 and shitty as it may be you still have to come to Europe to get decent products made!!
Dhanna2011And you still have to pay additional taxes and postage! :)))

Dhanna2011If you know how your tax system works, then that makes your original question all the more stupid.

Dhanna2011Or in the case of Invicta/Glycine, you have as much of the watch as possible made in China/Hong Kong/singapore, put a 'Swiss' movement in it, and call it Swiss Made'. Just has to have 60% of the value of the components sourced is Switzerland, and in Germany you don't even need that, all you have to do is design it in Germany. How many of the Iron Annies and such do you suppose are manufactured in Germany, actually? Some great things are made in Europe, but the same is true of the US, China, and everywhere else. Snobbery will get you nowhere
