Product Description
Made in collaboration with Granite Gear, the Crown X60 strikes the perfect balance between being lightweight, rich in features, and durable for long-term use. It builds on the Crown2—the company’s most popular pack and a favorite among long-distance hikers—with a few revisions suggested by the backpacking community Read More

Does a bear canister fit inside this pack?

I have a Bearvault 500 and it fits both inside the pack (stowed vertically) or on top of the pack horizontally. When the Bearvault is stowed on top, both the Y strap and the brain will strap around the vault. If I were hiking without the pack’s brain, I might want to lash the vault down with some extra cord for extra stability. (Tip: put your food in a bag inside your Bearvault. Hike with the food lower in your pack, and carry the empty Bearvault on top: better weight distribution.)

takeahike31Expext a Nalgene to fall off from time to time of the pocket since it's very large and wide open!

Yes, but why? This pack is a lightweight/ultralight pack. Use Smartwater or similar bottles and save weight. I was a Nalgene devotee for years, then a bladder user, but now I’m using Smartwater bottles. It just makes sense.

Yes. The side pouch is really stretchy and can accommodate no issue. Just know that the more you pack in the main pack, the tighter it’ll be. Consider a 33oz smart water bottle and save weight. Great pack, love mine

MrAwesomCompletely agree with your answer. Same experience as mine.
Is this waterproof? Water resistant?

Same as below again. Water resistant. I use both a large clear poly bag as a pack line AND a Silnylon pack cover to keep the Crown from wetting out. It would probably help to spray DWR on the pack from time to time
