I've bought a lot of gear over the year from Massdrop, and always hhad (hey look, a double press) pretty good experiences with them. This wasn't one. The switches feel great and sound lovely; they've also been failing pretty consistently since I've bought them. Some switches stop responding, some have double types, sometimes they're helped if I clean them, sometimes not. I've switched back to the keyboard I installed them in, and after a few months of fuller use, they're dropping like flies.
My expectation with Drop was always that they'd make things right, too, so I didn't sweat it. I'd use them as best I could until they were unworkable. But now customer service is refusing to replace them as they're out of warranty (turns out if they doesn't specify a warranty, there's a strict 1 year warranty, even on products they've made).
I think it's worth making it clear: don't expect Massdrop to make things right, even if their product is failing, even if it's a product they designed and built. I won't take a risk with their products in the future.
They aren't terrible but no where near the sound profile I was expecting and the feel was off. Also had some issues getting them into my plate/ hot swap pcb. I could see them working out for a plateless build as long as your soldering.
I like these a lot. A little heavy for me, but the feel and the sound is really good and I definitely want to build something with these switches soon.
