In case you want to be updated every single Monday without a skip, even when there's no news, head over to the Discord and stay tuned. You are guaranteed to receive an update from myself.
I am just the designer of this product and don't have the power to do anything my friend, let alone "scam" anyone. Go read what the definition of a scam is before attacking others. I have been providing updates about this set in a timely manner either here or on Discord to the best of my abilities. I have no control over price, cost, timelines and Drop simply relays the ETA dates and information that GMK provides to them. If you are not happy simply open a ticket and ask for a refund, it is simple like that. I wish you good luck and a nice weekend nonetheless.
No ortho/40s support? Seriously?
I don’t even begrudge designers for eliminating Colevrak support. It’s sucks for me, but I get it because we’re niche and the economics don’t work. But ortho/40s is still a big part of the community.
I was annoyed Zam didn’t have it for Striker R2, but Mito now dropping it for this set is a very bad trend.
drop can easily run assembly style kits like they did with oblivion. included the kitting from gmk nord which had a great assembly kit. hell, even if they (drop) buyout the full moq of such a kit they would recoup all investment and then some when the kit inevitably sells out as every single gmk kit does.
the assembly kit is more expensive than the ortho exclusive kits but supports practically every 40s/ortho/boardwalk/other weird ass layout. obviously designers and vendors are afraid to not hit moq / not make as much profit as possible and its a shame. one would hope that drop isnt that risk averse and would cover all the random keyboards they sell with kits they run.
Very cool they are finally available...
And seem to be shipping.
Less cool is finding out they are general availability before getting a shipping notice. Email show up "hey come buy Serenity" but I already did...
Mostly just a rant on how disorganised Drop is. I know they can't control the shipping times but they can control notifications as they are processing and packaging the items, I mean they had time to send out an email asking more people to buy in before telling the original backers anything is even happening with their orders.
Okay that alright. Thanks for letting me know how it actually works.
I am not meaning to sound ungrateful, but thus is kind if the reason I seldomely get stuff here. I understand shipping is an unknown way in advance, but some sort of plan that is known to the people actually buying things should be nice.
I understand too that this is specific to the desk mat which complicated things, but it is all under the one listing, one q&a one discussion with some saying they have theris already, even though its a totally different order, so the questions and discussion make it seem there is a complete breakdown internally where some orders go, others don't, sort of answers that change the next the the same thing comes up.
Again one last time, I know there are a lot of unknowns, but there is also a lot under your (collective) view and could be explained FAR batter.
Yes it is also impatient on my part but it has been a long time now and questions start to arise. Sorry for the headache, I hope it makes sense.
ZibobTotally understandable! I think there is a lot of room for improvement as far as communication is concerned, and that's something we're (I'm) working on. The ideal end state in my mind is to post regular updates to the discussion section for all major buys, along with a master list of fulfillment updates (something that Alex was already doing). There will always be things that I miss, so in those cases don't hesitate to ask again in the future as you've done here.
The whole commingled comments/Q&A point is something that throws me off at times too. It does make sense to keep it all together so people from different orders can still share information and we don't need to duplicate communications and answers, but it's also not perfect as you've pointed out. Hopefully improved communication will help with this.
Thank you for the constructive feedback and conversation, it's really helpful to hear these sorts of things.
Any ETA on when this is shipping? Estimated ship date for me was Nov. 15th but only shows "order placed with vendor" so I'm guessing it hasn't finished production yet?
I represent about 98% of the people who can delete comments and haven't touched anything. Let me look into it.
edit: Looks like the other 2% made the decision.
AlexPkCool, any word why your compatriots are deleting comments from paying customers, or why they are trying to hide from the fact the date offered for this buy was always bull? Seems to me if I was wrong, an answer would have sufficed to set me straight, but instead censorship is the name of the game. Should us customers feel good purchasing from a company that hides from its comeuppance through deceit and underhanded tactics? How is this a sound business strategy, and why is this the path Drop continually chooses to take?
This isn't my first rodeo, sir, just look at my username, it's there for a reason, and that reason is Drop keeps doing this BS. When are you guys gonna grow up and face your failures instead of hiding from them like petulant children? How many times does Drop have to be caught with its hand in the cookie jar before something actually changes?
Flat out, my comment wasn't the only one deleted that was asking about the ludicrous date. So here it is again so everyone can see what drop deletes.

You wanna explain why that was hidden and then deleted? Or maybe you can explain how everyone knew Drop would never hit such a ridiculous date, seeing that I and others called it when the buy went up to only see those comments hidden well before the first delay. Seems to me if Drop expected to hit the advertised date, there would have been no need to hide the comments asking about the date, and seeing that these comments were hidden well before the first delay was announced, these actions are extremely suspect. How would Drop know it needed to hide comments from people drawing attention the the BS date, unless there was no intention to ever hit that date? So perhaps you'd like to fill in the entire class why this timing is so suspect, cause I'm all ears?
