Really like this keyboard with one exception, DON'T MISPLACE ANY OF THE MAGNETIC FEET. If you do misplace one good luck getting a replacement. Seems that selling replacements is not a priority for drop.
Perfect form factor for my desk and integrates seamlessly with my other equipment and workflow. Small size with a numeric pad, excellent key feel and not dependent on always on software to keep the colors burning bright. It can be as rowdy or subdued as the mood strikes. Love the keys sound and travel distance.
The SHIFT V2 has a lot of features that will appeal to casual and power-users alike. A rich RGB presence, great default switch selection, excellent materials, good-out-of-the-box type feel, and easy software configuration mean that almost anyone will find something to like with the SHIFT V2. However, its tray-mounted design, imperfect stabilizer QA process, and incomplete RGB implementation mean that it has enough small issues that warrant discretion. Some people might not care about a pure-white RGB capability, tray-mounting, or the occasional squeak — and to those people, the SHIFT V2 will probably satisfy you. But to highly-discerning veterans, or buyers with precise purchasing conditions, you may need to looks elsewhere.

An overall improvement over the DROP SHIFT V1. Love the option for Gateron Yellow Switches and that it remembers RGB settings now. Customized the keycaps with some Novelkeys Handarbeit GMKs, but otherwise, I've kept it exactly as ordered from Drop.
I had the V1 and thought I loved it, but the V2 is even better, and sounds and feels better with the foam and stabilizer upgrades. I love the Holy Panda X Clear switches - they're smooth and sound great. I had recently purchased my V1, but when I saw the upgrades on the V2, I had to get my hands on it, and I'm glad I did. Worth the purchase.
I bought this keyboard for my wife since I already have V1. I love V1, but IMHO V2 is better. The typing experience is tighter, more cushion. The RGB shines thru the keys with a lot more intensity/brightness. Wish I owned this one instead of V1. Honestly, it's the best keyboard I've ever used. Fantastic KB and I definitely recommend it!!
SHIFT V2 Mechanical with Drop's offering for pudding keycaps. Not a gamer here, and certainly not into RGB flashy stuff in my keyboards.... but now not so sure anymore, as I'm kind'a diggin' this look with the right brightness and hue (all keyboard configurable). Less is more.
This keyboard was 100%not up to the hype. the lay out is great sure, but the switches are horrible. they sound and feel so cheap. they really need to upgrade the switches that come with this to make it worth while. The build is also very solid, but I would say too solid. should have some kind of gasket mount. even if there isnt much flex with it, it would help with the sound profile. A+ for customer service and the quick return however. Oh yah. I could never get my custom lighting profile to work, ever.
This is my first mechanical keyboard and the only one I will own. I am very pleased with everything. Ex. build quality, switches (Holy Panda X Clears) and of course the RGB lighting.
I had been a pretty basic adherent to Cherry MX Blues for years, never liking linear or tactile Cherry switches. Prior to that, I'd played with Model Ms and the first mech board I ever owned had Alps White.
I really only got this board because I loved my CTRL, but needed a numpad and 1800 boards appealed to me. What I didn't expect is that I'm fully converted to the tactile life with these Holy Panda X Clears. The feel is better, the sound is nice and creamy; it's great. The V2 upgrade over V1 is just incredible as well.
