Why not have the elvish characters match up with the equivalents in our alphabet? What is the point other wise if they're going to be placed at random where they were thought to "look" best?

They weren't placed for show, they were placed to align with a specific Elven font for ease of typing. Matt3o has a few blog posts about his reasoning behind the character placement over on his site.
Couldn't they have made the legends transparent? Nothing says elvish like a bright light shining through the elvish text. They are double shot anyway -- for me this is a missed opportunity, and I don't like the color choices either.

They're not double shot, the ad copy is incorrect and they haven't fixed it everywhere yet. It's dye-sub. Making double shot molds for Elvish legends would make it prohibitively expensive.
I would pay the expense for glowing elvish keycaps. My entire game room is decked out in Tolkien art, replica swords, etc. There is definitely a market for it. I will wait patiently for Drop to realize this too :)

DrestIt'd be cool, I'm just not optimistic they can pull it off. MT3 caps are so steep and curved that they can't really do doubleshot PBT with them - PBT warps badly when cooled, and you'd get too many rejects. So they'd need to be made of ABS.
But Drop made a very bad decision when they set up their ABS tooling years ago, favoring speed over flexibility. They can quickly crank out endless recolors of Susuwatari using its molds, but it's near impossible to add even one new key, let alone 150+. They'd need to scrap their current tooling and start over from scratch, and they couldn't use the new molds for anything else to recoup the cost - I don't think the Tolkien estate would say, "Sure, you can crank out a recolor in Cyber!" (Although that would be amazing.)
I feel like Drop would do things very differently if they went back to 2017 and could set up their factory differently. And they kind of are doing that with DCX. Maybe there'll be an Elvish DCX set someday?
What is the symbol to letter conversion based on? I would love a Tengwar keycap set, but these seem way off compared to the widely accepted 'Common Mode'. Numbers seem correct on the F-row, but not on the number row. Ofcourse some letters (like q) are hard to match, but there is a perfectly valid symbol for 'y'. However, that is shown on the 'h' key, which I would expect to look like a lower case greek lambda.
Would make it very confusing to use the Hardcore set, which I prefer over the more cluttered training kit.
Any chance they would sell more stock im kinda late to the party but would be willing to purchase a whole set as long as it came with the evenstar and autumn in rivendell

Based on the designer's blog comments, it sounds likely they'll restock eventually, but probably not for several months due to the time it takes to manufacture them. Drop seems to have underestimated demand for the accent kits.
