Hey everyone, it looks like the shipment of these is going to be arriving early, and we plan to ship them before the end of September (instead of October!). Will post another update shortly when we have more precision about the ship time. Sept 21st Update: Shipment arrived at our warehouse today. We'll spend a few days unpacking, counting, and shelving everything, and then it'll start shipping. My guess is everything will be shipped by early next week (hopefully sooner!)

KevinWhat the heck. Last time I checked, it said it would be available for two months. I bought the DAC and interconnects to use with it and now it's unavailable. Any information on whether it will be available again? Will it be another months-long wait?

nick_tIt's the same thing, it's just rebranded to "Drop" whereas it used it be called "Massdrop". Also the price is $300 instead of $400.

KevinYes but its not really the same thing aesthetically. One is ugly and one is beautiful. The font and branding is much more sophisticated presented, making it probably one of the most simple high tech utilitarian beauty with a simple black box. The font and the branding of THX logo is so beautiful and well presented. Most people in the community agree that massdrop looks more beautiful than the drop variant. It stands out with the rest of the stable of their hifi amp/dac possession to most headfi owners. Compare to that eye sore thick white bold 'DROP' and unpresented font looks cheaply made and there is no shade of shiny reflection and well presented font like the "massdrop THX 789 amplifier" as shown in ASR link. Here is my suggestion, if the 'DROP' marketing brand is so important to you people, then I suggest to place the DROP logo at the back of the amplifier to prevent eye sore to the user just like the 'massdrop variant'. Change the font and other things to the same exact look of the 'massdrop' variant. Everything exactly the same but change Massdrop to DROP branding font at the back of the amplifier. While retaining the exact identical aesthetics and fonts, try to improve the materials and built quality. While they are at it, improve the sound signature of transperency that competes with the HPA-4 and equipped THX 888 chip while at it. Please, is it possible ? I have been desperately searching to purchase the massdrop THX 789 and found no luck. Aesthetics are more important.

KevinStill carrying on with the backyard operation planning and communication? Unbelievable. I don't see the point of this amp anymore now that the Topping A50s has been released. It makes this amp obselete price and performance wise. The amp is a has been. Only novices and hype bros would buy this how.

Ringing in PC38X's

I recently got this headset, and wow is it good. My only issue is when certain people talk on discord, I can hear a really high pitched ringing. I fiddled with a bunch of settings, computer audio and discord, and nothing seems to solve the issue. It is primarily if not all in my right ear only. Is there something wrong with my headset, or was that ringing always there I can just hear it cause the headset is THAT good? I haven't had any issues with any other application, though I have yet to test if I can hear the ringing on a different version of discord, say on my xbox instead of my pc. Only other issue I've had is occasional static, but I can't tell if it's from the headset or the show/game/etc.

Sennheiser PC37X randomly goes bad after disconnecting the cable ?

Greetings, Yesterday I was using my headset like normal with my macbook, just listening to music and on a call with people like usual, and the headset was perfectly fine. The stock wire that came with the headset is extremely long and yesterday it annoyed me very much that it kept getting tangled with itself, so I decided to see if the cable is replaceable. I pulled out the cable from the headset and saw the adapter, and looked online for a replacement. Upon plugging it back in, the audio sounded extremely muffled and washed out. Im not sure what I did wrong to make it mess up like that as I've always taken good care of it, ive had it for about 2 years and its always just been chilling on my desk, but anywho I thought the cable just went bad and ordered a replacement. The replacement came, and the issue is still persistant, so I am not sure what the issue is I've tried multiple different headsets and the issue is not with the port, and I also tried it with my windows laptop and...

Recommendation for my next headphone set? I have Koss 95x

Hey all, What would you recommend I get next and why? I have Koss ESP-95x electrostatic massdrop headphones. These are my first and only audiophile set. I love them. I think my only real requirements is $500 or less for the headphones and that they have a little more low end. I don’t need thump but these are really light on lows…but the experience is still awesome. Also any recommendations on an amp? I only have my electrostatic thingy. I am using the Topping D50 DAC. thx!!
