Got these from Amazon a few months ago. They do look pretty awesome, and the build quality is good, but the sound for my personal taste is rather disappointing. These speakers are really good for bass heavy music like pop, rap, and stuff like that: the bass is very strong and makes this BOOM BOOM BOOM, that many people tend to enjoy. However, if you're trying to listen to rock, or anything that has bass guitar and/or drums in the record, most likely you won't be happy with the sound because the bass overlaps the instruments and vocals, so the music sounds very muddy, unclear, and just bad in general.
RodgerMcDodgerYes, both the bass and the treble is adjustable, but even with the minimum bass and the maximum treble (or at any other position) they sound equally muddy. However, if you're listening to a song with a strong beat it's nice to add even more bass.
JaicoolWhat equalizer are you using. These speakers sound great with my Airport Express, but when I pug my AT PL-50 turntable in, with pre-amp on, they sound really muddy. I'd like to put an equalizer in between them.
