Sennheiser PC37X randomly goes bad after disconnecting the cable ?
Greetings, Yesterday I was using my headset like normal with my macbook, just listening to music and on a call with people like usual, and the headset was perfectly fine. The stock wire that came with the headset is extremely long and yesterday it annoyed me very much that it kept getting tangled with itself, so I decided to see if the cable is replaceable. I pulled out the cable from the headset and saw the adapter, and looked online for a replacement. Upon plugging it back in, the audio sounded extremely muffled and washed out. I've had nothing but smooth customer service with MD so far, but no idea how good their service is for overseas customers. So don't take my word for it. I urge you to contact MD first instead.
If I were you, give the RE-00 a good listen first then consider buying something else if it's not for you. If you can't return it by that point, at least you didn't get nothing out of it (knowledge of what sounds good/bad to you is worth something!). There's no reliable way for you or I (or most people for that matter, unless they happen to have both the RE-00 and this drop on hand) to judge which one is better, especially when it comes down to preference too.
It's your money so it's very difficult for me to tell you to buy something when the hifimans that you haven't gotten a chance to try might be good enough for your needs. Hope that makes sense.
