Hi guys, I'm thinking of getting one, but I never tried any double edge razor. I googled a bit and it seems better than my regular cartridge ones...
But I'm worried about easily cutting myself, especially as I never used it before. Any comments, guys?

JohnnyCJohnny, this is a very mild razor according to most guys in our wet shaving group. It should be rather forgiving as far as safety razors go. You are probably more likely to cut yourself handling the blade :) The guys that own them tend to rave about this razor!

JohnnyCJohnny, it's not as intimidating as it sounds at first. When I started using a DE, I thought I'd be bleeding for sure but I was pleasantly surprised. Focus on your prep, pressure and direction of shave and you'll be in good shape. Also, Feather blades are about as sharp as they come. You can start with a slightly more forgiving blade like an Astra super-platinum or Shark super stainless.

chado006Thank you. Hope my techniques won't be too bad to end up a bloody face. I will probably get a DE then. ;)
