I went to an old school barber in Pensacola and he used a straight razor to detail the back of my hair. I loved it so I am getting this. I also need to learn a thing or two about football (American football) so I have something to talk about with the barber.

TearsOfWarYou can still get a shave with a straight razor in Japan. When I first moved here it was thrown in for free. I stopped getting them after a friend revealed that he had mysteriously come down with hepatitis for no known reason. At that point I started to get paranoid about barbers because of the the lack of any reliable-looking sterilization equipment on hand, such as an autoclave. I guess they just wipe the razors off with a rag and alcohol. Some will have a toaster oven-sized box with an ultraviolet tube in it, like that's going to do anything.
