khaledaboualfaPlenty of other refills work.
Anything that is the Parker format in fact.
The only issue we have seen, in several years of making these, are with some Fisher refills.
Every now and then, a Fisher has a larger diameter tip than standard, and doesn't pass through front of the pen easily. (2x in all these years)
You can have 1000 Fisher refills in hand, and 999 will work, and then 1 doesn't....
We could open up the tip, but then it would feel sloppy on every other refill.
Most of which actually write much nicer than the Fisher.
BrianFellhoelterThanks Brian. See that's my main problem, I really dislike the Parker format refills, and I've tried a slew of them (Moleskine, Parker Gel, Monteverde, Ohto, etc). The problem is that they're too thick (typically 0.7mm). I was hoping that I would be able to hack a gel ink refill with either a 0.5 or 0.38mm refill if that's possible. I would imagine that the length is probably not an issue (i.e. slice the end of it) but was wondering if the tips are an issue. Can you fit a Pilot G2 refill in the tip? Can you show a picture of what that would look like?
Thanks Brian.
khaledaboualfaI've been using a Schmidt p900 fine point filler for a couple of years. They're plenty fine and the fillers are a huge improvement over the parkers. The ink flow is perfect.
