Sennheiser PC37X randomly goes bad after disconnecting the cable ?
Greetings, Yesterday I was using my headset like normal with my macbook, just listening to music and on a call with people like usual, and the headset was perfectly fine. The stock wire that came with the headset is extremely long and yesterday it annoyed me very much that it kept getting tangled with itself, so I decided to see if the cable is replaceable. I pulled out the cable from the headset and saw the adapter, and looked online for a replacement. Upon plugging it back in, the audio sounded extremely muffled and washed out. Im not sure what I did wrong to make it mess up like that as I've always taken good care of it, ive had it for about 2 years and its always just been chilling on my desk, but anywho I thought the cable just went bad and ordered a replacement. The replacement came, and the issue is still persistant, so I am not sure what the issue is I've tried multiple different headsets and the issue is not with the port, and I also tried it with my windows laptop and...

If you think it's worth it, by all means, buy it. But, please do some research first
The only disappointment has been their Verb IEMs, which are mediocre at best.
They should stick with their main products, of which there has been a lot of positive reviews. The Pulse and it's variants seem to be messy with how they handle the logistics, pre and post.
lachlanlikesathing 3 weeks ago The update is coming very soon!
First off, I would like to said I have over $5K on their various IGG crowd funding campaigns for Geek Pulse Infinity, LPS4, Source etc etc and I have not received any of my items, including my IEMs & IEM-Xs. Very poor after-sales customer service and tickets are not properly answered (seems like they will only skimmed through your message and most of my questions are not properly answered) and after waiting for their reply for a good 2 weeks, they are only too happy to close your tickets in just a couple of days while I was on my business trip. The only stuff that I've received are those headphones shipped by 3rd party vendors (my LCD-2 & HE-560).
My experience have taught me 2 things...never to buy a piece of audio equipment sight unseen from a less than established company and to never spend another cent dealing with LHL until they can shipped all my stuff. I have waited close to a year now so I have no idea when mine will be shipped. tbh I can't be bothered to check their forum anymore unless I want to see a piece of equipment that I've bought but yet to be shipped to me are now being superseded by yet another couple of upgrades which I can no longer be bothered with! Why do they feel it's ok to keep moving the goalposts?
Almost everyone who was watching their campaign will tell you that every campaign that they ran was a big mess. Early adopters are almost certained to be screwed over as they keep dropping their pricing to pull in those fence sitters and new buyers.
Sorry for the rant...it's not meant to discourage buyers for this drop but I just want to share my experience (both positive and negative) dealing with this company. I've been supportive enough with their promises to a tune of over $5K gone out of my pockets but my experience was less than satisfactory. You'll have to decide if the savings are attractive enough to pull the trigger or it's better to audition them and pay slightly more? Just be aware...they are only too happy to quickly bring out a newer version of their stuff with minor tweaks, enough to make you feel you're now using an inferior product!
However,... I was on the MD for GO 450 and it arrived ahead of time and above expectations. I have evaluated many USB dac`s and this thing is on the next level. Maybe even two levels when added to the Schiit Wyrd that i have.
Anywhoo, for those on the fence, don`t be. I`m ordering yet another (1000 this time) to give me more headroom on the headphone upgraditis front since DAC/AMP are no longer an issue..
The GO 1000 really is a bargain, and the 1v5 firmware has no issues (with window 8.1 anyway) that i have tested with sound levels or pops. It just works!
On another topic, i have read many complaints with heat since this is a class A amplifier. I have a glass tempered desk, so when placing the GO 450 flush on the glass there is no issue with heat at all, and cool/slighly warm to the touch after hours. When I isolated the unit, yes it was hot but it can easily be remedied with a heatsink or small aluminium block (if you have any at hand). Many processors rely on the same kind of heat dissapation If you think heat wil be an issue for you.
Three days now and i can`t seem to put the headphones down. Truly sucked in with the sound frm the USB unit from the 450.
Geek Out 1000 is a product currently in production and available for immediate purchase. Unlike our crowdfunding campaigns that incorporate feedback and crowd design aspects from our backers, the Geek Out line was finalized two years ago and has had numerous positive reviews and comments directed not only towards is capabilities but also its price point in the market.
