If you look at the price history for the 1080 on camelcamelcamel, right now it's stabilizing at around $775. So $649 is definitely a better deal, although frankly BOTH deals are overpriced, but we all know why. *cough* bitcoincrazedidiots *cough* :P

UrVAITguyIf you sign up for 'notify me when available' on vendors (B&H photo, newegg) and/or manufacturers websites (nVidia, EVGA, etc) you can get one at MSRP or much closer to it, quite easily.

ag11600What’s the standard for “quite easily”? I signed up for EVGA’s site and got one notification that was sold out by the time I made it to the site.

Bobert'quite easily' means pay attention. I signed up and had one in my cart less than five minutes after arrival of the alert.

matt.wilsonAgain sold out right after I got the alert. That’s not “quite easy”, that’s hyperbole. Easy would be easy not “get to the webpage now!!!!”
