Bamboo fabric is woke rayon. Nothing eco-friendly about it.

MassdropbearYup. Only the early stages of bamboo products (growing and harvesting) COULD be environmentally friendly. Creating this item is not, in the least.

MassdropbearI'm glad somebody else said something because I was gonna. Viscose is the same as Rayon. Made by treating the natural fibers with sodium hydroxide and carbon disulfide. Cotton and wood are used to make the same material, with none of the characteristics of the natural fibers remaining. I don't see how mowing down a bamboo forest is more eco-friendly than cutting down trees,

Brett919Bamboo grows a LOT faster. It's more grass than trees--you can almost clear cut bamboo and it comes back faster than would a similar area of woodlands.

OrtepThanks Ortep. I know of a few spots within 20 miles or so where bamboo was planted in gardens many decades ago, and has taken over the immediate area that used to be the homeowner's property. It seems to be over 50 feet tall in one spot, over 6 inches in diameter, grows densely and it's very dark in there and difficult to walk through. Apparently it spreads horizontally by the roots and cutting down the stalk wouldn't kill it outright, much of the plant is underground. Left to do it's thing it would come back quickly. Invasive but doesn't seem to threaten the older, taller trees.
