Now the reason I extrapolate hearing this PICO with certainty based on the Pico Power amp and expect anything I say to hold water is once you experience Justin's designs, it's soon clear he is a manufacturer with Integrity and Honor. You can't make products the likes of his stuff without a true dedication to excellence. Now such faith is something that I would have scoffed at long ago, but not any longer. Justin has been around a long time because his stuff is very good compared to everyone else's for the price. Pure and simple.
Finally, I would probably use a DAP instead of this unit for on the go listening. To me this Pico is more of an extension of the Laptop's sound card when I don't or can't use the home system---if I were walking and had a coat with big pockets then fine. But for running? Forget about it--bound to be too bulky. Hope this helps.
Also, I need your opinion. I would love to try one of these Pico Amp products, but I think DAP (Opus#1 or Pioneer XDP-100R-K) would be more useful for me when I travel. After all, it's light weight, portable, touch screen, amp/dac built in, flac. music files, etc... In general, DAP seems like a good option for me, but at the same time I don't think the Pico DAC/AMP & Pico Slim looks that heavy either. You also praised how well built Pico products are (Sound quality wise). So do you think Pico DAC/AMP or Pico Slim would sound better than the two DAP I've mentioned? Also, have you tried Pico Slim before? I use IEM's a lot, so I'm looking for a good companion I can connect it with my phone.
P.S. I would appreciate if you recommend me other DAP products or something like Pico Slim that is usually designed for IEM products.
Thank you!
