Sad to see such piece of crap here. Hope that at least Clerc manages it to disappear quickly, as the case is a clear copy of their Hydroscaph Central Chrono.

JPl555I was thinking to buy it since it said "Automatic", and the price is now $99 instead of over $550. So you think I shouldn't buy this? I really want an automatic. But I rather pay the price for good quality. Any suggestions?

ThomasAasenHi Thomas, I buy a few micro brands of which Heritor is. there is nothing wrong with some of them, they give good value for money. At $99 if you like the visual then this is a good price;even if the movement is chinese and it is not sapphire crystal;at this price a good mineral glass and these days a half reasonable chinese movement cannot be bad value. Heritor is an American fashion brand ,most probably sourced and manufactured to their styling instructions somewhere in China or Hong Kong; similar to Spinnaker which also has offices in the States and UK. I haven't had a Heritor as the styling is probably a little too fashionable for me, but I have had and currently own the latest Spinnaker Hull, two others from them, Earnshaw "Swiss Made",(assembled in china using 55% or more swiss movement),Giorgio Milano(another US fashion brand ,probably also made in china), these three micro brands all seem to work well and are of excellent quality finish; I have bought a Glycine and Spinnaker from Drop and find their prices good. I also have three other Swiss brands ,Chrono by Swiss Military, Tissot and Panzera made and produced in Switzerland for an Australian company. So don't be put off by some of the watch snobs; these micro brands can be a good experience to own especially when a bargain; yes the RRP price is inflated you can normally buy these watches for around $200 or so USD. So the Drop price is reasonable. For an automatic with , the specs and a leather strap, even if average quality leather it is good value for money ,especially if you like the appearance of the watch. as for your other concern of spending your hard earned money on a good quality watch, well if you buy Seiko, Orient there is half a chance of an automatic through Drop or the like: but not a watch with the Heritor spec or look, probably quite boring to look at.Hope this helps you.

JAoneThomas you are 100% spot on. For $99 and an automatic this watch is a great deal.

JAoneHeritor is yet another brand that popped up out of nowhere when watchgang started. Someone, or watchgang specifically, just made up a bunch of mushroom brands specifically for watchgang so they could tell suckers...I mean subscribers that they were getting amazing value

cmbezlnI don't know much about "Watchgang", where I am I haven't heard about it until Drop members mentioned it, and then I did a small amount of irrelevant digging on the internet; and yes they didn't appear too impressive. But these microbrands have filled a gap in the budget section of watch buying; often with more style/designer orientated watches, after all at the price points often choices include "Lorus","Sekonda"" low spec. Citizen" and the like, some quite bland designs in some eyes.Enter "Spinnaker", "Ingersoll", "Earnshaw","Marchand","Geckota",etc. etc. which all have some impressive quality at the price. I think a lot of people myself included have an appreciation for the aesthetics of a watch often more so than the mechanics or performance; kinda like people who have a love of jewellery. So whilst I can somewhat agree with your opinion I do feel that not all these people are "suckers" , just your regular consumers who on occasion sometimes are lured into buying a product which may have some 'loose description" issues; but a lot of these guys are probably not too worried about there decisions at the price points.Look around your house or in your wardrobe or even your toolbox and you will see what I mean. God my own toolbox is a disaster zone of sub-standard products!!
