It requires a Hideez dongle for every Windows and macOS computer that I use? Which is also a pain in the neck if I'm using a newer MBP that only has USB-C ports... Pass.

rk919Yes, this is how the technology works, preventing others from acquiring your device keys for identity spoofing. If it was software-based then the auth key could easily be intercepted and spoofed. The product offers a luxury convenience and there are other much cheaper options out there, no doubt. I use a very small footprint USB dongle that has a small quick-tap fingerprint reader for Windows, that I believe works with Macs as well. I use it for my personal and business password vaults as well as a form of secondary authentication to avoid having to re-enter the master password for each. If you haven't already, definitely look into something like that as an alternative, and get yourself a cheap USB-C to USB-A/C+DisplayPort+Thunderbolt dock from Amazon for that Macbook Pro. :)
