I ordered these because I worked in an open office at the time. Wanted to use tactile switches with a good bounce but needed something quieter so coworkers didn’t kill me. These accomplished both. Installed them on my Keychron V1 Max, and the RGB still looked good. Excellent silent tactile.
A fairly balanced switch with a very nice feel and minimal noise perhaps a bit louder then one would expect for a "Silent switch" but nothing that isn't just being pedantic
These are the best tactile silents I've tried, but still a little mushy for me. Ended up switching back to linears after trying this and a few other switches.
Got the tactile purples --
Really odd how loud the stabilized keys are when released. This is comparing to Kailh Box Brown Silent. Even more odd considering out of the keyboard the Elfs are quieter all around. Non-stabilized keys are quieter with the Elfs. edit: KBBS firmness seems to vary more than Elfs but tends to wander between equal and slightly firmer.
Just tried some Durock Shrimps in the place of stabilized switches. They are a little stiffer than the Elfs and stiffest KBBS, but like the KBBS do not clack on switch release. I'll be keeping the Shrimps there, and am considering a spring swap for them to better match the Elfs. Comparing the 2 bare, Shrimps ping, but Elfs have a touch more rattle.
I like the colorway for both. The purple reminds me of Sasuke Uchiha, and the gold, green, and blue remind me of the Zelda Tears of the Kingdom color scheme. I could easily recommend these to any of my friends looking to get into the hobby.
