I'm very tempted to get this one as my first mechanical keyboard. It's got a nice subdued design, the right layout, and most important of all: it's got bluetooth. BT 4.0 would've been nicer, but I suppose the only real benefits of that for keyboards are the lower power usage and the extended range.
However I need to know for sure if it's gonna work properly on my Mac. I have no doubt that it will connect and work, but I'd like to know if I can switch the win and the alt key. The wasd code keyboard supports this through the dip switches I believe. I'd assume that this keyboard's dip switches would do the same, but I can't find any information on that. Anyone knows?

pd91I don't have this so I can't say for sure, but it'd be shocking if it didn't work just fine with your Mac. The only difference between a Mac keyboard and unspecified keyboard is that Mac keyboards have a special Mac power button and the Alt key and Win keys are switched with the Win key carrying the command icon instead. I have close to 3 dozen keyboards. Most of them aren't Mac keyboards. All of them work fine.

hyperlinkedThanks for your reply! I was under the impression that I couldn't (easily) switch the modifier keys around on the software end, but it seems that macOS has this built in on a per keyboard basis. This eliminates the need for a hardware option! :-) That means I'd only need to switch/replace the key caps for looks, which should be easy, yes? (I'm still new to mechanical keyboards!)
I don't need a power button as I'll be using my laptop's power button anyway :-).

AntonyFaragYes; but is this also relevant for keyboards? The amount of data that needs to be transmitted for typing can't be much, right? Or are you saying that BT 3 is laggier than 4, in that case I doubt it'll bother me much as I do not intend to do much gaming, just typing.

pd91Check out Karabiner: https://pqrs.org/osx/karabiner/
Allows you to remap anything to anything else. It operates at a very low level, allowing you to even map keys to fn, and ability to remap Caps Lock (unlike most similar tools). I use it in combination with BetterTouchTool (operates above Karabiner) for more complicated/higher level customizations.

pd91I'm saying it is laggier. response time for 2.0-3.0 is about 150-300 ms 4.0 is about 2-6ms

AntonyFaragCan you actually notice that difference? I have one of the older Apple Bluetooth keyboards and I don't notice any lag.

hyperlinkedI notice the difference when i switched from an old Bluetooth 2.0 keyboard that i used for editing a display system at my church (we just needed something to work once in a while.)to my 4.0 Varmilio Vb87M one that i have here at home just in regular typing in PowerPoint or word I can actually see the input difference on the one i use at my church which i use rarely vs the one here at home.

AntonyFaragI wonder if you might have something else going on because I don't notice any difference between using a wired keyboard and my Apple Bluetooth Keyboard. I think that's a BT 2.0 device. I have interference issues with it before in the past though, but that just resulted in it being intermittently unresponsive, not lag.

hyperlinkedif you don't notice and you aren't gaming then by all means go ahead. Personally i wouldn't recomend it.
