I bought this machine for classes and to leave at my daughter's home for piecing quilt tops while babysitting. Being used to a workhorse Bernina, I was a little concerned about how substantial it would be - but it stitches very well and does not seem to be sensitive to different threads or changes in fabrics. I haven't tried any decorative stitches yet.....
