While the Thrunite has a newer CP-L LED, the SRA40 has a higher output. (Not lumens)
The SRA40 has a Peak Beam Intensity: 38,000cd
Thrunite is a Peak Beam Intensity: 26640cd
While the Thrunite has more modes, I find I rarely use more than low, medium, hi. The Thrunite has a moon lite mode, but I've never found much use for moonlite mode.
The SRA40 includes a charger.
While just my opinion, I believe Jetbeam makes a higher quality light.
I don't think you can make a bad choice with either of these. I have the SRA40, Sunwayman DA40, and the Nitecore EA4, all 4,AA lights, and will probably get a TN4a, as it is a bargain.
The DA40 and SRA40 are in our cars, the EA4 in the toolbox.
