Can someone please confirm successful usage of the ethernet port to provide ethernet connectivity to the parent device?
e.g. It'd allow a Microsoft Surface 2 Pro, which lacks a native ethernet port, to connect to a gigabit-ethernet switch. For the record, the Microsoft Surface 2 Pro doesn't support 802.11ac.

vlsmoothI have a similar hub from Anker (with less USB ports), and that's exactly what Ethernet port does.
