dolusebIf you think this is expensive, then you need to look around. Japanese knives particularly VG-10, or better yet, the better white or blue steel blades can be in excess of $250-300. The problem with this knife is that there isn't enough information (for me at least) to make an educated purchase.
What is the grind on this knife? Is it a 50/50 symmetric bevel like western knives or is a 70/30 or 80/20 asymmetric bevel like Japanese knives? Is it all VG-10, or is it a VG-10 core clad with stainless steel?
I can't find any mention of this brand on other reputable sites. I'm passing on this one since there are many more options for a quality santoku near this price out there.
dolusebI picked up a few years ago a shun Sora chef and santuko knives for about 40 bucks each. The VG 10 is welded onto the blade. They're excellent performers in my opinion.
