Does the black color go all the way through? Will scratches have another color underneath? Sorry if this is a stupid question.

RonnieAlohaThe pen cap and barrel are made from aluminium. According to their website (karaskustoms.com), "The anodized finish on our products is an oxide layer formed on the surface of the aluminum parts using an electrochemical process. The color that you see is actually part of the surface of the material and will not wash or peel off like paint." That said, if you do manage to wear away the surface layer or put a deep enough scratch in the pen barrel, you'll see the underlying aluminium .
