The exterior is covered in Synthetic Leather, I imagine paint wouldn't stay well or look very good on the fake leather. And the inside is microfiber, the window is acrylic, none of these materials works well with paints.

Yes, but I would not. Paint could harm the surface of the case. Instead if you are decorating the case, use decals that can be removed later on and do not have harmful petroleum components.

I suppose you COULD paint it but I wouldn’t. It’s finished in a professional manner and in order to sand and prep the wood you'd do more damage then good. I mean, have at it if that’s your hobby but I’d advise against it.

I would recommend using baby wipes for stains, and a vacuum for dust and crumbs.
