I'm seeing some confusion about the material in this knife and questions about the price to size ratio. This knife does not have titanium scales. It has 420 stainless steel scales. We had to do this in order to give the bearings something to ride on and maintain the thinnest material dimensions so the knife doesn't make the keybar too wide. Much of the cost of this knife comes from the pivot and standoff screws I had to design specifically for this knife to make it function as flipper and fit in the keybar. They have very tight tolerancing and maintain the dimensions in the knife so the tension on the keybar screws does not affect the action of the knife . I know it looks simple, but we spent almost a year prototyping this knife and optimizing the bearing configuration to ensure it would function as a flipper, be stable, and as robust as we could make in is such a small package.
