I was the second participant in this group and ordered 2 knives. Paid with PayPal and waited diligently for the drop to end.
After the drop ended, I got an email that my PayPal payment ran into a problem, and was given a very short period of time to log in and re do the payment.
Well, I work 13-14 hours a day during certain parts of the summer and missed the, essentially, one waking day window in which to check my email and re do the payment. Because my work hours are so long, I didn't check my email until the next morning and it wouldn't let me pay.
Right then, I wrote an email asking for an extension of the period, and followed up with two emails a day, and two days after the first. I have received no reply.
This has happened once before, and the rep extended the deadline to re do the payment by another day.
This has nothing to do with my PayPal account being short of cash - there's more than enough there.
I feel like I've been screwed, here. I was really looking forward to this drop and by no fault of my own, some payment issue between Massdrop and PayPal has left me in the cold. And I'm not getting any replies to my emails.
What the hell is going on, here?

mikellykelsHi, Kelly. Thanks for your response and thanks for taking care of it. I appreciate it.
So the issue is that if you pay with PayPal, and then decide to increase the quantity later via your purchase history page, it will show up as a payment error when the drop ends (since the final purchase price is higher than what you originally authorized with PayPal). And you will be booted from the drop.
So if you are using PayPal and want to increase quantity, first cancel your original order. Then put in a new order with the new quantity.
That makes total sense. I didn't make the connection and didn't understand why this problem would come up periodically.
Thanks for explaining it, Kelly, and for taking care of my purchase. Much appreciated!
