I've got a recent production of this, they changed the pocket clip to a pretty typical milled shape that's flat across the top and moves the contact point further down the handle so it isn't right on the cutout.
I like it a lot, don't see this detail anywhere but the whole knife is tungsten DLC coated except for the blade, then the handle is distressed on the raised areas. It's good looking, and it's also a flat grind as far as I can make out. The grind is also sort of on a gradient, with the tip end sturdier and the flat/belly of the blade coming to a thinner angle.
OmniseedI have one I got a few years ago. The clip was the worst I've ever used. Almost impossible to get to clip to your pocket, or to release from it. Hopefully the new clip is better. The knife had really lackluster deployment, as well, which is a shame, as the blade is nice and lean and cuts well. Those two things were a big enough problem that I just don't end up carrying this rather attractive knife. Maybe I can get a replacement clip for it from Kizer somehow.
bobtheaxolotlSend them an email and a direct message on the Instagrams, I bet between those two approaches you'll get a good response and a clip.
They were helpful when I asked about recentering a T1 I have that's just marginally off center, if they can find a spare clip I doubt they'll charge you for it. The new one is a lot like the Keen clip but slightly wider and DLC coated.
OmniseedBut which clip comes on this Drop version? The bent clip that drops into the cutout, or the milled clip that skips past the cutout?
The entire handle is DLC coated? What color? I wonder why they went and did that?
Davidsh331It's always been that way but Kizer just never advertised it as such. The blue one as well.
These will be recent production, the original crap clip hasn't been made in at least a year, probably two.
