I own this. Love it. Mine is an older model that doesn't have the flipper. I find it flicks out using the thumb studs very smoothly. If I recall correctly I got mine at Blade HQ for a few dollars less but it was during a 30% off sale and I didn't get the case or cleaning cloth. I use it often
