I'm glad others have posted about the User Interface. I don't care for the UI as described by other customers. Typically the two most prevalent first on modes of a Low(or moonlight) or High(Max) are the most popular. I can live with the High being the first mode from off, but having to change modes prior to turning the light off is a deal breaker for me. In regards to the standby battery drain, all electronic switching that does not include a mechanical electrical lockout will drain the cell(s) over time. I haven't read any posts here of accidental pocket activations causing the battery to bleed itself dead, just the standby current of the light itself. Surefire holds a patent on tailcap lockout and level changing using a head twist, not sure if this light breaks the connection when the head is loosened, but that would be my go to solution if it works and I owned one. I own many electronic switched torches. Of all single cell powered, the shortest storage time is 4 months.
