I have a (real) Bob Kramer tool steel chef's knife. As a lifelong knife guy, I can say it's in a class by itself. If you spring for one, you won't regret it.

BernoulliThat's a hell of a deal. His knives are around $500/inch right now.

NopeIt was over ten years ago, within a year of his first national recognition. I actually bought it for friends I owed BIG time. He had over a year's back orders and he let me send him monthly payments in advance. After a couple of years they said they were too nervous to use it and asked if they could return it to me.

BernoulliAh that's easy to justify...$1950.00..much harder. His knives start around there now.

FuzzIt's not as if you can just go to his website and buy one of his knives if you have the money anymore either. The price isn't even the first barrier.
