Adding/Including Memories
I lost my dad last year (2023) and have been finding ways to include keepsakes/memories in my workstation. I've dabbled here and there with doing small woodworking projects and attempted a wrist rest from a piece of oak I picked up with him from my great uncles wood shop. I milled it to fit a 60% keyboard as I hadn't decided what keyboard I would be using it on and thought that's where most of my wrist would be in contact even typing on a full keyboard. I gave it a torched/burn appearance as I really was lost in what to do. I found an old shell casing from going hunting with my dad in my hunting pack and decided to imbed it into the end of the wrist rest so it would just have a little difference and a small story behind it as well. I have other things around my workstation from family and friends, but it just feels a little more special having worked on it and adding something small that has a memory for me to it. (Purple was my grandmothers favorite color and I have kinda now...

EDIT -- Since this was more than some could handle, just to be clear, this linked charging stand is $10 more than the current Massdrop deal (possibly $15 if enough commit to this deal). This is obvious when you open the link, I was referring to the MSRP price for this stand to compare features/cost.
Also, Amazon lists this at $89.99 MSRP, but Anker sells it themselves for $49.99 MSRP; hopefully this can let you make a more informed decision, good luck with whichever option you choose!
In regards to the price, I clearly stated that the linked stand is cheaper than the this stand's "MSRP" price at a total of $59.99, making this only $10 cheaper without Massdrop's discount.
All that withstanding, I prefaced my entire comment with a "for what it's worth", so if this clearly wasn't worth anything to you I'd ask why you bothered commenting at all.
*That's* what you ACTUALLY did, and what should still be rebutted, regardless of the other issue.
I edited my initial post to include this info for anyone who might get as angry about this as you did, I had no idea how ridiculous someone could get over information I was providing to try and help people make a balanced decision. Do with all of this what you will, I again prefaced all of this with a "for what it's worth" to try and avoid belligerent posters like yourself but as you pointed out somehow this could still always offend someone.
I'd argue that I'm the one actually helping people by clarifying the real pricing difference that you confused from the start.

Amazon's price is not Prime-dependent either, you pay $49.99 for this and get free shipping since this is over $25.
You helped no one here besides yourself arguing this to death, since you yourself didn't even have the "actual facts".
I didn't claim Amazon's price was Prime dependent. That was a qualifier to denote that my price was from a Prime member's perspective. I made no assertions to there being a different price. Perhaps you incorrectly inferred this, but no such claim was made.
In the end, if I didn't help anyone else, I at least helped you. You're welcome.
I did miss Amazon's higher MSRP however, so regardless of everything thank you for pointing that out. My intention was to deliver correct information, and although you chose to antagonistically argue this instead of just kindly provide the correct info from the start, I can now update my initial post with both Amazon and Anker's MSRP for people to use.
To anyone else reading this, I'm sorry I took part in such a ridiculous debate over something that could have just been addressed immediately. This is definitely not what Massdrop is for and I'm ashamed I got so wrapped up in a petty argument that I lost track of what I intended from the beginning.
You're welcome. Glad I could help.
Good to see that you eventually recognized the error of your ways. Glad I could help with that too!
Gentlemen please stop and think about what you are truly adding to this discussion.
We would love honest opinions and I think you both have them but lets be civil.
@kauboy and @benmeroff
Anyways...somewhat back on topic. I love the new Anker PowerWave chargers. If you have an iPhone 8/X it's definitely worth getting one of those over this Logiix because it'll do 7.5 watt charging versus the 5 watt charging the Logiix will do with the iPhone. They're on promotion right now on Amazon so if you buy 2 you get 20% off, making the price similar as well.
also: "I don't worry myself with the opinions of fools"
yeah ok buddy. you can just keep calling everyone else out but your "primary point" doesn't excuse the way you were a jerk about everything from the get-go, and just cause you lack profanities doesn't make your communication here any less obnoxious
Thank you.
This is not what these comment threads are for, and like @Jaysun said, above all else let's be civil. Consider this spat resolved.
