Very well made, beautiful and reliable flashlight. Possibly due to my lack of understanding a workaround, I find I have to click through lower brightness settings every time I turn it on to get to the brightest setting, so 4 stars.

Not judging, just curious: what do you do where you need the brightest setting every time? I use medium mode the most, to walk a trail near my house, then low or medium to inspect stuff close up or fill in the shadows of a photo a bit without destroying the mood of the ambient light, and pretty much just use High mode if I hear something unusual on my walks or if my batteries are low.
