B.manThat's unfortunate. Low is useful for "nightlight" utility usage, but not for regular illumination. Medium is the ideal startup mode for me, and I think a lot of people agree. I have the black anodized aluminum Tool, and it's rubbery button has a half press, so i can cycle modes without turning the light off and going through the full off then on again click cycle... The button on this is clicky. For normal everyday usage, you'd be looking at an initial startup consisting of an automatic three clicks! That's nuts! If you need to start up in low, cup the end of the light, I say!
L-M-H is literally the only disappointment I see with this drop. it was otherwise perfect. :(
I still bought two, but they are not ideal lights now.

richfilesIn theory you could probably find some Lumintop switches to swap out with, or even find someone here who hates MLH to trade with. Can't please em all I guess!
