Great light. I got the CREE version, which isn't as natural looking as I'd prefer (blue cast), but I use it each morning to read the numbers off my snow depth gauge through binoculars and the slight boost in brightness might be worth it. The three intensity settings are very handy. I use the lowest setting for general illumination in a dark room, the medium setting for most task lighting, and the brightest for my snow depth measurements. I've carried it with me every day since I got it (six months ago or so) and haven't had any issues.
