I recently got this headset, and wow is it good. My only issue is when certain people talk on discord, I can hear a really high pitched ringing. I fiddled with a bunch of settings, computer audio and discord, and nothing seems to solve the issue. It is primarily if not all in my right ear only. Is there something wrong with my headset, or was that ringing always there I can just hear it cause the headset is THAT good? I haven't had any issues with any other application, though I have yet to test if I can hear the ringing on a different version of discord, say on my xbox instead of my pc. Only other issue I've had is occasional static, but I can't tell if it's from the headset or the show/game/etc.

That being said, you could always buy a standalone Amp (Like the CLX without the embedded sDAC or a Schiit Jotunheim) plus a discrete DAC (like a sDAC or a Schiit Modi 2) and do the DAC-EQ-Amp chain properly. It'll take a lot of space from your desk, and require some wires, but it might be better in the future when you can always replace/upgrade just one component each time.
But, like the Massdrop employee CEE_TEE say:
-LCX+SDAC allows you to compare the internal DAC with an external DAC. -The LCX can be fed from external sources (DACs, CD players, digital audio players). -The LCX+SDAC can be used as a DAC into another amp. You may want to try a tube amp on top.
So, you can compare the internal dac with an external dac. It must bust be between usb and Rca right? The LCX can be fed from external dac. So, I am pretty sure that the rca inputs are for that. And he claimed that the internal dac can be used in another amp. Right for this one and it's your point but sadly nothing say that you can have the internal dac working when still using the RCA inputs...
So, only CEE_TEE from Massdrop can answer your question properly with the actual product in is hand, but I will assume that it is not possible or there is maybe a little chance that the dac could be working in background as long as it is connected to the computer and maybe the input selector just act as a device selector like on windows if you can understand my point. But yeah, I think you may need another dac to use the Loki as you just have mentioned.
Not sure if this can be used as pre amp for speaker.

CTH+SDAC Some good news…we are working to add the 3.5mm output to the SDAC in the CTH+SDAC. The 3.5mm output will be next to the microUSB input jack. You may use a 3.5mm to RCA cable for output. So, there is no pass-through on the CTH+SDAC but you can now get a line-out from the SDAC.
So, as it turn out, if the trend continue, the 3.5mm could act as a line out. So, if that is right, you may be able to feed the amp with the dac because if I take my Darkvoice 336SE as an example, the dac feed the amp, but the pre-out still playing at the same time. So, at the end, it depends again about what they decide to do with this revision. I know that they do some tricks to it, because the amp is now balanced with their topology revision to convert the unbalanced dac to balanced XLR output.
