At first, this looked great and what I was looking for. Then you see the specs/measurements & reviews. Being 5'11", 200lbs with very wide shoulders and not a good sleeper in mummy position makes sleepless nights. It does sound great for kids and girls. Reviews saying when measuring actual width, it came to only about 50" wide. Granted its described more as a throw blanket than backpacking quilt. I agree with what others have to say about why not add much more width as an option and just charge more for it? Why can't someone just make a larger wider size one? I do notice every time in Massdrop when that (rare) opportunity is available, they sellout almost immediately. The beauty of Massdrop is put out a product & it's specs and if you get the amount of orders needed to produce, then why not? If you don't get orders then you move on. Make it 30% wider (because we all know it will come out much less than that after loft and a wash) and charge 50% more. I guess instead you can buy three of these and divide one bag in half and sew it onto the other two? You would have two really wide & long bags for $150. It's sewn threw so it should be easy to do. Treat it like a Costco blanket hack but it would much better. Also reading in quite a few reviews and posts in the discussion board about this blanket not having good enough loft as stated in the description, you would expect more from 10.5oz of 850 grade down in such a narrow blanket rated to 40 degrees? Maybe it just needs to be tossed in drier with tennis balls. Take Western Mountaineering MityLite with similar dimensions has 12oz of fill, rated to 40 degrees with 3" of loft. It can be said WM has the most reliable rated bags. The Pine is only stated 2" of loft (50% less than WM MityLite). A big plus is reading reviews that the shell fabric feels much better than the Aegismax (similar price). A Wider and 10D in same feel fabric would be on the wish list. I will say 10.5oz. of true 850 grade RDS hyperDry down alone sells for 25+% more when sold by itself than this complete ready made blanket. Ramble over
