Sennheiser PC37X randomly goes bad after disconnecting the cable ?
Greetings, Yesterday I was using my headset like normal with my macbook, just listening to music and on a call with people like usual, and the headset was perfectly fine. The stock wire that came with the headset is extremely long and yesterday it annoyed me very much that it kept getting tangled with itself, so I decided to see if the cable is replaceable. I pulled out the cable from the headset and saw the adapter, and looked online for a replacement. Upon plugging it back in, the audio sounded extremely muffled and washed out. Im not sure what I did wrong to make it mess up like that as I've always taken good care of it, ive had it for about 2 years and its always just been chilling on my desk, but anywho I thought the cable just went bad and ordered a replacement. The replacement came, and the issue is still persistant, so I am not sure what the issue is I've tried multiple different headsets and the issue is not with the port, and I also tried it with my windows laptop and...

BTW, I got my shipping notice about 15 minutes ago--12:30 AM here in NJ.
However, I do have some problems with the Tidal Windows 10 app. I've had it almost a year and it worked perfectly until about three months ago when I began to have multiple problems with it. Between 10-20% of the time, the track will not automatically advance at its conclusion but buffer endlessly until advanced manually. Extremely annoying. Also Tidal Masters (24 bit/192kHz, available on a small but growing number of albums at no additional charge if you have Tidal HiFi but only on the Tidal PC app) has become unusable since about 75% of the time when a new track starts it is distorted sludge unless manually restarted. Tidal Support was extremely unhelpful and even snippy, closing my ticket after 2-3 days (on Labor Day weekend in the US, BTW) when I was unable to find all the information they requested. (TBH, I really don't notice much improvement with Masters recordings, which uses something called MQA. Apparently the real improvement of this format cannot really be heard unless your DAC can decode MQA, and Schiit ATM declines to add this to its DACs. Tidal software will decode it in this case, but not at the same level of quality as hardware decoding.)
I do understand that Spotify will probably be adding a lossless level in the near future. Given the gaps in Tidal's catalog, and my bad experience with Tidal support, I will likely switch when Spotify lossless is available.
Then I listen to so this audiophile mix music playlist on youtube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D-h6MoF7HLA&list=RDD-h6MoF7HLA&t=1
Also what ever high quality music files you have on your computer.
As for songs, I finally got a FLAC of Spock's Beard, "At the End of the Day" and I'll definitely be running that. My favorite song for the entire time I've been collecting music. After that I'll likely run the gamut with the entirety of Ayreon's "The Source" in Tidal's MQA version.
Most of Wilco's albums are available in these "Master" versions, which I particularly like!
I should probably look into getting an MQA DAC to make best use of it...
